Customer Feedback and a Warning...

Here is some customer feedback on the New Lee Auto Breech Lock Pro and a warning…   “It takes a little while to learn the reloading cycle through the dies but once you have done it it’s pretty simple to operate and I can quite comfortably load almost 300 Rounds in an hour at the moment   Overall am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this press to anyone looking to reload volumes I will most likely load 7.62 x 39 on this press as well in the future”   “All I can say is what an awesome...

My Auto Breech Lock Pro Journey - Part 5

So back to stripping the carrier…or so I thought.   After e-mailing Lee’s support desk and enquiring how to do this I was told by Lee that there is no need to remove the carrier, as per Lee the carrier is aligned at the factory and there is no need to remove it.   Well, this morning I thought let’s see what’s what in any case.   I started by taking out all the dies and accessories again. My Auto Breech Lock Pro journey - Part 4

So before I strip the carrier I decided to run an experiment. I started noticing spent...

My Auto Breech Lock Pro Journey - Part 3

This press is more Lee Classic Turret Press than Lee Pro 1000! And that's a good thing!   Andy Lee is a genius!   I have looked at how to strip the carrier to see how this press works but after reading the instructions…yeah those things I normally ignore I found that you do not need to strip the carrier! The working parts of the timing is done by the index rod, the shell plate bolt (or something, can’t find an official name for it), a driven clutch and a driver clutch. The clutch system can be accessed without stripping...

My Auto Breech Lock Pro Journey...Part 2

First thing first! As you know this press is brand new and we are also learning as we go. If you have a Safety Prime and wish to use it on this press, make sure it is the latest model. This model can be identified by the light grey colour and serrated trigger!   Finally managed to get a few rounds loaded on the press.   After spending most of the day on the range Saturday making shiny brass dirty I got a gap yesterday to reload a few rounds on the Auto Breech Lock Pro. I started with 1...
